Michael grew up in a Pastor’s home (his dad being his “hero”) and appreciates the godly heritage he received from his mom and dad. Rebecca’s parents live in Geigertown, Pennsylvania, where her dad is the administrator of High Point Baptist Academy.

Michael graduated from Northland Baptist Bible College in 2003 with a double major in Bible and Youth Ministries. From 2003 through 2008, the Saunders served the Lord at Harvest Baptist Church in Guam. Returning to the States, Michael was an Interim Senior Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Anderson, Indiana for several months.

In their previous ministry, they have been used by God in reaching out to teens and building disciples as their youth group increased from around 40 to more than a hundred. In addition, Michael was instrumental in leading missions trips to New York, Ireland, Brazil, Pohnpei, Yap, and Saipan. The focus of these outreach opportunities included Open Air Evangelism, VBS programs, construction, basketball camps and preaching.

Michael’s passion for God and His Word are evident, as is his (and Rebecca’s) desire to build strong relationships with our teens and their parents. His creativity and energy along with his vision to build solid leadership teams will bring a new level of commitment to our Student Ministries program.
