SOMA LIFE Groups

This fall we are introducing a new initiative of small groups called Soma Life. (Soma is a Greek word meaning “Body.”) These body life groups are an opportunity for us to enrich our fellowship and connection with one another in the Body of Christ. This is a “pilot program” in which we will evaluate if this will serve the congregation and meet the needs of God’s people effectively. Here are the four topics and speakers for our fall sessions. Participation will be on a first-come first-served basis.

DVD Series Synopsis
A series of four stand-alone DVD’s all revolving around one common theme: Worldview, the theological, philosophical system that determines all we do. All four DVD’s will rotate among the four SOMA LIFE Groups

In Tour Six of this incredible series, Dr. Tackett explores History and takes a close look at the importance of maintaining a firm grip on the past. In the process, we will see that a proper appreciation of historical context – in other words, our place in God’s “larger story” – is fundamental to an accurate understanding of almost every aspect of our lives. History provides us with indispensable insights into the meaning of existence, God’s plan and purpose for the ages, man’s responsibilities toward our Creator, and his duty toward his fellow man. With this foundation, we will be able to see why there is such a concerted effort to redefine, reject or minimize History.
Ken Ham: Already Gone: Why your kids will quit the church and what you can do to stop it. Ken discusses the profound cultural changes taking place in our Western world, as God’s Word is rejected and man’s fallible ideas are welcomed. Ken relates some of the shocking statistics presented in the book Already Gone that reveal the reasons why young people are leaving church and abandoning the faith of their parents.
Dr. David Jeremiah: Finding Strength for the Journey. Do you find yourself becoming weary, exhausted, and discouraged as you run the Christian race?
