Earlier this year USA Today (2/20/2007) reported an amazing story of perseverance and endurance. Three runners – Charlie Engle of the United States, Ray Zahab of Canada, and Kevin Lin of Taiwan – set out to race across the Sahara Desert. The journey would cover 4,000 miles passing through the countries of Senegal, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Libya, and Egypt.

Before the series Tough Questions … Honest Answers comes to an end, I need to catch up on some of the other resources I have used in my studies and preparation. Books on apologetics (for defending the faith and answering the questions of skeptics) continue to multiply. In previous weeks I have provided a bibliography for specific questions.

The tragedy on the campus of Virginia Tech continues to weigh on our hearts and minds. The pain and suffering has been relentless. And even if the daily demands of life and the passing of time should somehow dull our senses or give us momentary escapes, lingering in many minds will still be the question, “Why?”

In wrestling with the hard questions that echo in our minds, the New Testament letter written by James helps us to sort through our thoughts and emotions.
