Welcome to Immanuel Children's Choir!

Alleluia Choir (5-6 grade)

The Alleluia Choir is for those in the fifth and sixth grades.  We build upon everything they have learned previously, both in doctrine and in music.

Schedule:
6:15 -- arrival, check-in & hymn sheet accountability, movement games
6:30 -- hymnology
6:40 -- music theory/aural skills
6:50 -- snack
7:00 -- singing
7:30 -- dismissal

Gloria Choir (3-4 grade)

The Gloria Choir is for third and fourth graders.  They will be learning of God's commands and how loving God means obeying those commands.  They will begin to read the music they sing as well as begin to understand vowel colors and consonant placement.

Hosanna Choir (1-2 grade)

The Hosanna Choir is made up of first and second graders. Their focus will be "God is holy," "I'm a sinner," and "Jesus died to make me holy." The children will be working on following a conductor, proper breathing, and rhythmic notation.

Praisemakers (Kindergarten)

Praisemakers is the Kindergarten choir. They will meet in the Junior Department. The key theological concepts they will learn are "God made me," "God loves me," and "God deserves our praise." Musically, they will be learning to find their head voice, match pitch, and copy and create basic rhythms.

Joyful Noise (Pre-K)

Joyful Noise, a pre-K choir led by Jennifer Webel, meets in the Primary Department. The children will learn about singing and music in a fun, highly interactive way. The main musical goal is to help the children understand the difference between their singing voice and their speaking voice.
