Adult Sunday School

Look below to find out what Sunday school class is right for you! The average ages of those attending each class are underlined so you can quickly see where you fit in.

  • Agape - Discussion class led by Ed Lee that begins with a time of prayer and praise. They are currently doing a verse by verse study of I Thessalonians. They sponsor dinner groups and have social activities throughout the year. Also, they sponsor shut-in ministry. The class includes a variety of ages from young married and singles to the more mature.
  • Ambassadors - Rev. Ken Marken teaches the class which is comprised of senior adults, singles and couples. Class opens with music, special number by various musicians, announcements, prayer, and a topical study from a book of the Bible, often with class participation. The class is divided into teams with group captains to maintain contact with class members. Four socials are scheduled each year.
  • Disciples - Class for singles and couples mostly between the ages of 30 and 50. It is led by John Luck.  They are currently studying Leadership based on the book of Nehemiah.  Book studies have included Romans, Acts, Daniel, Revelation, and Philippians. Topical studies have included Salvation and the Lordship of Jesus Christ, Principle of Forgiveness, Christian Unity and Repentance. They have an active social life for those who want to participate and are also involved in supporting our missionaries.
  • Fellowship Class - The Fellowship class welcomes individuals and couples of any age. Class time opens with singing of hymns, followed by a lecture/discussion format, and concludes with a sharing/prayer time. Previous book studies include Leviticus, Revelation, Daniel, Song of Solomon, Lamentations, John and Ezekiel. The class schedules several social events during the year and contributes to a special missions project each Christmas.
  • Fervent - A singles only Sunday school class geared to motivate our singles to grow in their walk with God.
  • Joint Heirs - Class made up primarily of young couples and couples young at heart.  Using the Bible as their textbook, they have done book studies, topical studies and studies involving topics and issues that are of direct relevance to this age group.  They seek to provide variety to the class by employing a number of differing approaches including lecture, brainstorming, video series, open-guided discussion and guest speakers.  To add balance to the class, there is a weekly time of spirited singing and a regular schedule of great activities throughout the year.  Teachers are Rev. Jim Bennett, Dave Pettit and Cam Abell.
  • Men - Class for men led by John Gillian. Format includes 15 minutes of prayer for the church body then a Bible study with a combination of lecture and questions. Each lesson is designed to relate to the issues of our day. The Men's class meets in the library.
  • Mizpah - Class of warm, friendly ladies of mixed ages led by Martha Hancock with Carol Green as the President. They care about each other and pray for one another. They usually study a book or portion of a book of the Bible. The teaching method is primarily lecture with some discussion. They have done biographical studies of the life of Joseph and Paul. Their current series is a study of the beginning of the church from book of Acts. They love to have visitors, especially when they stay and become permanent class members!
  • Women of the Word - This class is serious about studying the Bible and applying Biblical principles to their daily lives. They share needs, convictions, hopes, and then seek to encourage each other in Christ. They are studying a video series by Tara Barthel called Living the Gospel in Relationships. This class is for any adult women.
